Established to Protect Kenya's Environment

The National Environment Trust Fund (NETFUND) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, established under Section 116 of the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) Cap 387 of 1999.

  • Receive, administer and manage funds for environmental management in Kenya
  • Mobilize resources from domestic and international sources for environmental programmes
  • Support communities, NGOs, and county governments with grants for environmental projects

Established under Section 116 of EMCA Cap 387 (1999) to receive, administer and manage funds for environmental management and to mobilize resources for Kenya's environmental sector.
